You can set the engine sounds in the Sound XML to have none, use the engine sounds in your plane's own 'Sound.cfg' and with the Wwise system, most of your switches and controls 'should' have sounds now 'if' you used Asobo proper names for Node-ID's, Animation names, etc. Did you know you can have your own FSX/P3D style sound pack 'and' a Sound.XML PCK pack running side by side in your plane? Yes. But this will allow you to have 12 (at least) sounds to add to your plane using an existing stock Asobo PCK pack. I do not know if its 12 total, or 12 of each of these sections. You can add your own sounds (not many) to your aircraft package via making line scripts in the SimVar section with the setting WwiseData="false" (not "true" ) This will signify your sounds are outside of the PCK Sound Bank.Ĭustom_sound_ N N is a value between 01 and 12, I am starting this post as a 'learning' tutorial to point people as to how to enter custom sounds to their planes using the Wwise Asobo Sound.xml without burning a new PCK sound bank. I am getting no error message, my sound just simply does not play and no one seems to be having this problem apart from one other guy on an Arma 3 forum but no one has replied and that was a post from early last year. Ive tried using this code in just the init on an object and in a trigger act, I then made a init.sqf and placed the code in there to see if that would fix it, I was wrong. I also was told to make a init.sqf file with this code, OR, simply place it in the objects init OR the trigger act: The sound appears in the trigger sound effect drop down menu but no sound plays !?!?! here is my code for the description.ext: Initially I got the "sound not found" error but the guy who created the MARSOC raiders scenario kindly helped me and explained to me how he did it in his scenarios and I no longer got this error, instead the sound just does not play no matter what I do, even using his advice on how to get it to play in game using either a trigger or an object. Ive had nothing but issues with trying to get custom sounds to work. So I'm creating a scenario and I want to use a 3D effect ambient radio chatter thats about 10 ish minutes long.
